Spring 2023 Rec – Informational Email 2 – Coaches have been assigned

Hey Centex Soccer Family!

You can always find the latest announcements and information on our Recreational Info Hub here: https://centexstorm.com/recreational/

For all of you parents like me who maybe procrastinate a little longer than we should, it’s time to get that soccer gear because…

We have assigned coaches! Practices will start very soon. You should hear from your coach by February 28th! If you have not heard from your coach AFTER February 28th, then and only then please reach out to us at [email protected]. We do want to make sure you have a good line of communication with your coach because they are going to be your primary point of contact.

Your coach will tell you:

  • Practice times

  • Practice locations

  • Game schedule (when the coach receives it; it’ll be a little longer)

  • Provide your game jersey and game socks when they receive it (it’ll be a little bit longer before we distribute jerseys)

Remember, the coach is a person just like you! Be supportive and help anyway you can. Also, please note your coach does not have 100% control over practice time or location. We are balancing many teams across a few fields.

Most of the time, the fields will be shared by 3 or 4 Centex Storm teams practicing at the same time. Please be mindful of this. Your coaches’ space selection and the parent chairs need to be positioned so as not to block out the other teams.

Also, the game schedule is still being finalized. When it’s done, it will be sent to the coaches. Please keep in mind that kick off times are set in stone. If the game is at 8:30, we are starting at 8:30 on the dot. So for your coach’s sake, please arrive early! We the League have to promptly keep the schedule because there is a full game of days with many teams using the same fields.

Thank you for choosing to play with Centex Storm soccer. We do this because we love the game of soccer. We hope you have a good experience this year, and if you ever have questions or comments, please reach out to us as [email protected]

Thank you,

Anthony Woolstrum
